What demons Hanuman faced while crossing ocean to Lanka

In Hindu mythology, the story of Lord Hanuman and his journey to Lanka is a well-known tale. As per the story, Hanuman was assigned the task of crossing the ocean to reach Lanka, where he had to rescue Lord Rama's wife, Sita, who had been kidnapped by the demon king, Ravana. However, this journey was not an easy one, as Hanuman had to face numerous obstacles and demons along the way. Here are some of the demons Hanuman faced while crossing the ocean to Lanka :

Surasa: The first demon Hanuman encountered was Surasa, a female demon who could change her form at will. When Hanuman was flying over the ocean, Surasa intercepted him and demanded that he enter her mouth before proceeding any further. Hanuman was quick to outsmart her by expanding his size and becoming too big for her mouth. Surasa was pleased with Hanuman's cleverness and let him pass.

Simhika: The second demon Hanuman encountered was Simhika, a demoness who had the power to pull her prey towards her using her tail. Hanuman saw through her plan and waited until Simhika tried to catch him with her tail. At that moment, Hanuman used his power to increase his speed and flew out of her grasp.

Lankini: The third demon Hanuman encountered was Lankini, the protector of Lanka. She tried to stop Hanuman from entering Lanka by engaging him in a fierce battle. However, Hanuman emerged victorious by defeating her in combat, thereby gaining entry into Lanka.

Kumbhakarna: Hanuman's next challenge was to find the location of Sita, who was being held captive by Ravana. He discovered that she was being held in Ashok Vatika, a beautiful garden within Lanka. While searching for Sita, Hanuman encountered Kumbhakarna, Ravana's brother, who had been sleeping for six months. Kumbhakarna woke up and attacked Hanuman, but Hanuman was able to outsmart him by tying him up with his tail.

Indrajit: Finally, Hanuman encountered Indrajit, Ravana's son, who was a powerful sorcerer. Indrajit used his magic to capture Hanuman and tie him up with magical ropes. However, Hanuman was able to break free from the ropes and defeat Indrajit in battle.

In conclusion, Hanuman's journey to Lanka was filled with obstacles and demons, but he was able to overcome each challenge through his wit, strength, and perseverance. His heroic deeds are celebrated even today and continue to inspire people to face their own challenges with courage and determination.
